How God Bridge the Generation Gap Between the Aged and Youth
In God infinite wisdom, he commanded the church to treat the elder women as mothers; the elder men as fathers; the younger women as sisters, and the younger men as brothers. Jesus, softly rebuked his disciples when they attempted to separate little children from him, themselves, and the company of older people that was in their midst by saying: “Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not because such is the kingdom of God”.
Wisdom and common sense is lacking in youth of today because of walls of “youth programs” that are prevalent in churches in these last days that was not in the early churches. The elder/older saints are a wealth of encouragement, strenth, and comfort for children, teenagers, young adults, and young married couples. They have the avenue and willingness to bridge “gaps” in history to connect the present making it relevant to the youth of the day.
A “generation gap” is only due to one not knowing and understanding how the present/future is linked directly to the past of those who lived it.
